Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Mizoram, on April 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding Aadhaar authentication for Mizoram E-Services.

The following has been stated: -

•The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, in consultation with Unique Identification Authority of India, has permitted Aadhaar-based authentication for delivering e-services in Mizoram.

•The use of Aadhaar simplifies identity verification, reduces paperwork, and enhances transparency and efficiency in service delivery.

•Authentication will be voluntary, and citizens must provide consent before using their Aadhaar number.

•Alternative ID options such as Voter ID, Driving License, and Passport must be accepted, ensuring no denial of services.

•The services will be delivered through the Mizoram government’s Vawngtu portal, integrating multiple citizen-centric services.

•This notification comes into effect upon publication in the official Gazette, strengthening digital governance and ease of access to public services.
